Course
Description
The
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector or PTLLS
award covers the fundamentals of teaching in progressing and
adult education. The course includes how to plan your
sessions, how to motivate your learners and the use of a
number of assessment techniques. It's the initial step on the
way to becoming an official practitioner. In other words, a
complete licence to teach in the lifelong learning
sector.
Who is a PTLLS Qualification
for?
This
award is for anyone wanting to enter teaching in the lifelong
learning sector.
This
means you don’t have to have any previous teaching
qualifications or experience. The qualification is also ideal
for people who already work in the industry but want to obtain
an official qualification.
The
qualification is a direct progression route into the
Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector

Organisations
that draw down funding directly or indirectly through the
Skills Funding Agency will require their trainers to have
PTLLS Qualification.
