A Wi-Fi connection is essential. If you’re presenting, an internet connection is important for accessing files stored in the cloud or streaming videos online. Organisations should ask early in the booking process whether Wi-Fi is included in the cost of hiring a room.
Check the equipment they have available. Some venues include monitors and projectors; however, these don’t always include the cables and adapters that are required to hook up to your device or laptop. You may also require whiteboards and markers. Have a conversation with the venue before you arrive, to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible.
