Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is suitable for anyone who is looking is to develop knowledge and understanding of autism and how to support individuals on the autism spectrum to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

No experience within this work environment is required for this course. However,  learners should have a minimum of level two in
literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

What will I learn?

This course will cover the following topics:

  •  Common traits and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions.
  •  Sources of information, support, legislation and guidance relevant to Autism Spectrum Conditions.
  •  Living with Autism Spectrum Conditions
  •  Best practice relating to Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Cost

Fully funded eligibility criteria: 

  • Reside within the Lancashire, Warrington, Cheshire and Cumbria
  • Age 19+
  • In receipt of State benefits or earning less than £25,000 per year.

Self-funded costs

  • Classroom-based: £400
